Best Exercises for APPLE Shapes to Slim Down

Please READ this box more info. Apple Shaped Women, you have a heavier upper body, carry more weight around the waistline, with a smaller lower body. This workout aims to slim down the upper body & core, and to increase lean muscles in the legs & butt to balance your body out. Equipments: 1 pair of light dumbbells (2-3kgs) and 1 pair of heavy dumbbells (8-10kgs) Duration: 15 minutes per circuit (Beginner: 2 circuits, Intermediate: 3 circuits, Advance: 4 circuits). Rest no more than 1 minute between circuits. Exercises: 1) Bent-over Row & Reverse Fly (x15) 2) Fly with Leg Extension (x15) 3) Bicep Curls to Alternating Should Presses (x15) 4) Deadlifts (x10) 5) Push-up with Rotation (x15) 6) Lateral & Front Raises (x15) 7) Tricep Dips (x20) 8) Lunges (x10 each side) 9) Plank Up-Down (x15) 10) Crunch & Reach (x20) I burned 130Cals in 15 mins based on my height & weight at 159cms / 48.5kgs. =) For best results, perform this workout 3 times weekly on alternate days combine with your cardio 3-4 times weekly for at least 40 minutes on the other days. Choose LOW IMPACT cardio if you have delicate ankles / knees or if you are overweight: swimming, cycling, rowing, stepper, cross trainer or walk on the treadmill on an incline (Do not hold the handles!). My body shape transformation! This video is all about how I lost body fat and changed my body shape. I went from being an apple shape with a large upper body, no waist line and a flat butt, to going in at the waist and having a larger butt and thighs than I did before. The first part of the video shows a more recent fat loss I achieved without losing any weight (actually gaining 1 kg of muscle in under a month), the second part shows my overall results since 2013, losing 30 lbs/14 kilograms and reducing my body fat/changing my body shape. I did this primarily with exercise. I did not eat low carb or low calorie. I do eat a fairly high carb plant based diet (but am not fully vegan as you can see by the free range eggs). I tried to have a decent calorie deficit per week but I did this through increasing my exercise, not decreasing my food significantly. I accepted a while ago that I like carbs, that they are not evil, and that wholegrain and whole food carbs like wholemeal pita bread, beans, lentils and fruit make me feel nourished, in a better mood and more able to exercise. I will never, ever eat low carb high protein, it does not suit me whatsoever, and I don't eat meat so it would not work. Of course you should cut out refined carbohydrates, but whole food carbs like beans, lentils and fruit are full of fibre and are not the enemy of belly fat like some people say. For me, vigorous red-faced sweaty cardio and making sure I don't overeat most days is what burns the belly fat. In a day, I will typically do a bare minimum of 10,000 steps (but aim for 15-20,000). I also make sure that I work up a sweat and get intense & vigorous exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes per day at least 5 times per week in addition to the walking. I also make sure to do a bit of seated leg press a couple of times a week. But I feel the main thing that has improved my butt and legs is mostly walking/jogging (for the fat loss) and cycling. I usually cycle on almost the highest resistance the bike can be set on, so it's like strength training, not just cardio. Weight Loss Tips Based on Your Body Type Hourglass The hourglass figure tends to be the most desired body shape because those with this figure gain weight evenly throughout their body. Should favour impact sports that require high speed and low to medium resistance that involve both upper and lower body. Isolated Exercises like arm/ leg push-outs, bending exercises and arm/ leg curls along with whole-body workouts like swimming, jumping rope, Fast walking etc. are preferred Should avoid jogging, step classes, high impact exercises which add bulk to your muscles Should eat lean high quality protein like chicken, fish etc., non-starchy vegetables, leafy greens and fruits Rectangle Rectangle body have similar measurements for their shoulders, waist, and hips—basically, no curves. Most skinny people tend to have this body type, and when they do gain weight, it's usually in the belly. Favour exercises that requires long and sustained aerobic movements - without weights until you reach your ideal weight. Do a stretching routine before and after any workouts, and - most of all - do not skip the abdominal exercises to flatten stomach. Should eat high quality protein like chicken, beans, complex carbs like fruits, non-starchy vegetables and brown rice. Good omega 3 sources like salmon, flaxseed oil, olive oil help you to burn more body fats. Inverted triangle Inverted triangle shaped bodies, also referred to as top heavy body types, tend to have broad shoulders and they're prone to storing fat on the upper half of their body. Favor quick, short movements with low resistance for your upper body and focus more on high resistance on your lower body and abdomen to strengthen. Add some lower body mass, and improve the proportion of your body shape. Should opt for complex versus instead of carbohydrates. Trade your white rice and potatoes for quinoa and oats. Fresh vegetables (particularly leafy greens) are good for you. You should eliminate high fat cheeses and processed foods—particularly the bloat-inducing, salty ones. Triangle/ Pear People with a pear body shape tend to carry most of their weight in the lower portions of their body, which is mostly subcutaneous fat. Favor any movements that require lower body flexibility, strength, and coordination, with absolutely NO resistance or weights. Avoid extensive exercises of lower body like skating, long distance running or high-impact aerobics. Should opt for high fiber, lower fat diet with an adequate balance of lean protein because it's much easier to burn carbohydrates than it is fat. Include several servings of whole grains, like quinoa, brown rice, and whole grain bread, throughout the day. Avoid non-organic and processed meats that may contain unnecessary hormones. Avoid extra calcium and alcohol too. Apple People with an apple body shape tend to carry most of their weight around the belly area but have a slimmer lower body. Visceral fat causes many health risks like an increased risk of heart disease, cancers, diabetes etc. Favor leg exercises like squats and deadlifts, pressing movements such as the bench press and overhead press, jumping, and sprinting. Opt for whole-body exercises those induces fat-burning and muscle-gaining tendencies. Due to irregular insulin levels caused by abdominal fat, a low glycemic diet has been proven to be most beneficial for weight loss. Eat foods such as green vegetables, most fruits, kidney beans, chickpeas, lentils, and bran cereals. Cut out foods such as white bread, pastas, rice, pastries, cookies, and candies. How to Lose Weight According to Your Body Shape, This Is How To Eat Right For Your Body Type! Our body come in all different shapes and sizes, this is why we are all unique! But did you know based on your body type you can actually determine the right diet to maintain a healthy weight? Body of different types tend to store fat in different places. Knowing where your fat stored on your body can help you fill your plate with foods that work best to shed a few pounds off and keep you healthy. 1. Rectangle Body Type If you have a rectangle body shape, it is categorized by narrow hips and an undefined waist. Even though you do not gain weight easily, yet it’s still important to keep a healthy diet. With this, you need to include plant-based proteins and healthy fats such as avocado, almonds and salmon into your diet. Skip the sugary treats and fast food and add more olive oil, nuts, lean protein and complex carbs to your diet, such as fruits, veggies and beans. 2. Apple Body Type If you have an apple body shape, you can find more weight targeted around your midsection. To remove the midsection body fats, you should eat smaller meals 5 to 6 times a day to maintain your metabolism up. Consume also food with high fiber, such as vegetables split peas, lentils, black beans and fruits, and also foods containing plenty of Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps reduce cortisol levels in the body, which causes fat to migrate to your middle. Also include healthy bacteria or probiotics into your diet to help promote easy digestion. You should avoid foods that can leads to inflammation, such as fast food, bread and certain vegetables. 3. Pear Body Type If you have a body shape of pear, you may find out your hip measurement is larger than your chest measurement. The fats stored that gained weight can be around your hips and thighs. Avoid from salty foods and refined carbs such as white bread, noodles and rice. You may want to eat more high protein content, such as meat, fish or eggs. Also be sure consuming plenty of fruit such as watermelon and pineapple that can help cleanse body by flushing away toxins because they slows down your metabolism. Drink herbal tea or green tea also works to extra boost cleansing. Include high-fiber foods in your diet. Estrogen levels too much can cause fat to settle in your butt and thighs. This is why to eat more insoluble fiber can help reduce high estrogen levels in your body such as whole-wheat bread, cereals, lentils, apple avocado and strawberries. 4. Hourglass Body Type Ladies having body shaped of hourglass usually gain weight evenly throughout their body, however having a poor diet can cause water retention and congestion. A body of hourglass shaped, consume 5 to 6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism up. Get your lean protein foods from fresh fruits, vegetables and healthy fats. You should avoid eating refined carbs such as white bread, noodles and rice. Skip the sugary treats and stick to natural healthy diet full of whole grain foods! Please READ this box more info. If you are a Pear Shape or an A Shape, you tend to store more weight on your hips, bottom and thighs, with a smaller upper body. What I hear most is that you think you look out of proportion, so in order to balance the body as a whole, we want to slim down the lower body (cardio workouts) and build tone into the upper body (strength workouts). Equipment: One heavy dumbbell (at least 4-6kgs or more), this is to work on your upper body. No weights needed for the lower body. Method: Alternate between Upper Body Strength Training and Lower Body Cardio. Duration: 11 minutes per circuit (Beginner: 2 circuits, Intermediate: 3 circuits, Advance: 4 circuits). Perform this 3 times weekly for 4-6 weeks to see results.
